If Man is His Own Star…

If man is his own star
Than who are we to judge
The actions of an individual
And what they choose to love
The choices that they make
Are theirs and theirs alone
But the road they choose to follow
Will always lead them home
And though we all will get there
At different times through strife
Our acts, our angels are
The remnants of life

And if not? Or if there is a standard to judge each individual by?

By “if not” do you mean if man is not his own star?
